BEST of MIAD, Madrid Inside Art & Design

The second edition of the Madrid Inside Art & Design event took place from February 26 to March 9 at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid. This meeting brought together leading figures in interior design, architecture and art, making it a space where innovation and creativity came together.

During the MIAD Fair, several prestigious awards were presented to recognize excellence in interior design, and we are proud to have been part of three award-winning projects.

🏆 Best Project Award – 1st Place: The “Suite 16” project was distinguished with the highest recognition. Noted for its impeccable combination of historical elements with contemporary design, this space achieves a perfect balance between elegance and functionality. Once again, Pepe Leal’s unmistakable talent was recognized at the MIAD Fair with the Jury’s First Prize for his masterful work on Suite 16, created for Eichholtz Brand Store Madrid-Marbella. This exceptional space fuses history and modernity to perfection, using exquisite materials, a sophisticated palette and an avant-garde design that pays homage to the neo-Mudejar architecture of the Plaza de Las Ventas.

At FEDE, specialist in custom-made switches and lighting, we celebrate the vision and talent of Pepe Leal, a true reference in the world of interior design. We are proud to have contributed to this extraordinary project with our Twenty Collection in matte black finish, with elegantly designed rotary switches that add a touch of sophistication and exclusivity.

🏆 Technological Innovation Award & Audience Award 🏆 Audience Award: The “Aspen” project by Altelier Studio, directed by Alejandro Guzman for our distributor Global TV (Spain), won these two important awards. This design recreated the cozy atmosphere of a private movie theater inspired by Aspen, Colorado, standing out for its innovative use of space and materials. Lighting was provided by Lutron Electronics and sound by Bang & Olufsen. Global TV (Spain) was recognized for its commitment to technological advancement and creativity in interior design.

Now is the time to enjoy the ultimate cinematic experience in a home cinema designed by Altelier Studio, a space that exudes luxury, sophistication and a unique vision. Here, precision and creativity come together to give life to an exceptional project, worthy of being recognized as the “Oscar of design”. At MIAD, FEDE, a specialist in custom switches and lighting, contributes to this outstanding concept with luxury mechanisms and metallic finishes to embellish every detail, elevating innovation and elegance to new heights. Because, like great cinema, exceptional design is a form of storytelling.

🏆 2nd Prize for the Most Ecological and Sustainable Project: The ÉTER project, designed by CONN STUDIO for the Nagar Group and Huëst, is an example of visionary design. These prestigious brands, along with FEDE and Aistec Creating Comfort, also form part of The Arq Showroom in Madrid y The AD Club in Barcelona, the leading destinations for interior design and contract projects in Spain. At MIAD 2025, ÉTER takes design to a whole new level. This dreamlike space, inspired by the visionary aesthetic of Stanley Kubrick and the nostalgic charm of the iconic Doré Cinema, offers a unique sensory experience.

Light, textures and symmetry intertwine to capture the essence of cinema, with each element carefully selected to tell a story. Once again, our Twenty Collection, this time in satin gold finish with original round keys and dimmers, adds the perfect finishing touch, enhancing the space with a sophisticated and exclusive shine. A journey back in time where interior design becomes a tribute to the elegance of classic cinema.

• Lu Ariz Design Studio. An alumna of Artediez School’s Furniture Design program, Lu specializes in affective design and neurodesign, bringing an innovative perspective to interior and furniture design. We admire her handcrafted style, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Her exquisite collection of handmade lamps and the magnificent tapestry, masterfully woven by a Portuguese artist, left an indelible impression on us. Inspired by the universe of Jules Verne, this captivating space breaks boundaries with its organic shapes, futuristic reflections and unparalleled underwater aesthetics. FEDE brings its characteristic sophistication and precision, enhancing every detail of this dream setting with our luxury electric mechanisms and exclusive finishes. The ROUND collection in matte satin gold adds the perfect finishing touch, elevating the design to an incomparable cinematic experience.
